1. Jésus, divin modèle, de douceur et de paix,
Ta sainte voix m’appelle à marcher
désormais
Dans ce sentier de grâce, de support, de bonté,
Où Tu laissas la trace de Ton humilité.
Ô Seigneur Jésus, je veux
suivre Ton modèle,
Et de tout mon cœur, Te rester fidèle.
2. Tu passas sur la terre dans l’ineffable amour
Que toute Ta carrière a montré chaque jour;
Et Tu dis: "Je vous aime, nul n’aime comme Moi
Enfants, faites de même, car l’amour est la loi".
Précieux Rédempteur, je veux
Te rester fidèle,
Et de toutes’ mes forces’, suivre Ton
modèle.
3. Que mon esprit se range à cette loi d’amour,
Pour vivre à Ta louange, d’un cœur
droit, sans détour.
Comme Toi, charitable, patient humble et doux,
Saint, pur, irréprochable, faisant du bien à tous.
Ô Seigneur Jésus, donne-moi
Tes qualités,
Pour vivre ma vie dans la sainteté.

1. O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end;
Be Thou for ever near me, my Master and my friend;
I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side,
Nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide.
Help me my Saviour to follow You to the end,
My precious King, to love You to the end.
2. O let me feel Thee near me; the world is ever near;
I see the sights that dazzle, the tempting sounds I hear;
My foes are ever near me, around me and within;
But, Jesus, draw Thou nearer, and shield my soul from sin.
Jesus my Master let me serve You to the end,
I want my dear Lord, to go to the end.
3. O let me hear Thee speaking in accents clear and still,
Above the storms of passion, the murmurs of self-will.
O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control;
O speak and make me listen, Thou Guardian of my soul.
Grant me Jehovah to be useful in Your hands,
O my Redeemer, bring me to the end.
