Je veux monter sur la montagne,
C’est là que l’on rencontre Dieu;
C’est là que la joie nous inonde;
Et que pour nous s’ouvrent les cieux.

Et me tenir tout près de Dieu.

1. Si le chemin est rocailleux,

L’exalteront, Lui le Premier.
4. Quand mêm’ ma peau se détruirait,
Et quand je n’aurais plus de chair,
Alors je verrai l’Admirable,
Et Il me sera favorable.

I do want to walk the King’s highway.
I know not if the way is long,
But I will follow day by day,
And for light and strength I will pray.
By faith in the Lord I will be strong,
His name dispels my guilt and fear;

For the Lord is always near.
1. The way may be rough or be smooth,
No one else can know what to say,
How long our journey will be for,
But I know Jesus leads the way.
2. The countless hosts lead on before,
I must not fear, I must not stray;
With them, the pilgrims of the faith,
I want to walk the King’s highway.
3. I know that my Redeemer lives,
On the earth at last He shall stand;
And His children with Him shall live,
Never again to be in want.
4. After my skin has been destroyed,
I know, in my flesh I’ll see God,
And I shall surely be renewed,
And rejoice in the Lord my God.
